Yes, but only in a 20 yard RoRo skip. Soil is extremely heavy, which means a 40 yard RoRo skip would exceed the legal weight limit long before it was full. For this reason, soil, hardcore, rubble and other dense materials should always be placed in a 20 yard RoRo skip.

How much does it cost to hire a RoRo skip?
There's no one-size-fits-all price for RoRo skip hire. The cost depends on factors such as whether you require a 20 or 40 yard skip, the type of waste you're disposing of, how long you need the skip for and where it's being delivered. How much does a RoRo skip hold?
A 20 yard RoRo skip is designed for heavier materials such as soil, rubble, hardcore and concrete. Although it has a lower volume than a 40 yard skip, it can safely carry dense, heavy waste without exceeding legal transport weight limits.
A 40 yard RoRo skip provides twice the capacity and is best suited to lighter, bulky waste such as timber, plastics, packaging, cardboard and general commercial or construction waste. Heavy materials such as soil or hardcore should not be loaded into a 40 yard RoRo skip.
Can a RoRo skip be placed on the road?
RoRo skips are normally placed on private land, commercial premises or construction sites. Due to their size, they're generally not suitable for placement on the public highway. If you're unsure about your site, contact us and we'll discuss the available options.
